The need to to provide a forum for discussion of new ideas, best practices, research & development results
The need to formulate standards peculiar to our environment .
The need for a voluntary body to advise policy makers in the formulation of electro-information technology
policies.
To prepare Nigerian students for the challenges ahead.
To provide an avenue to discuss problems and solution of the Theme: "Great Expectation: Nigeria, in the future
technological revolution"
to stimulate growth and advance the state of knowledge and practice in the field of Electrical Engineering and
Information & Communication Technology
To encourage basic academic Research & Development (R&D) and possible sponsorship avenues by organizations
in Nigeria.
To highlight the roles of Telecommunications in National Development and evaluate the performances of PLMNs,
PTOs, ICT companies in the past and ways to improve its services.
Encourage engineers to be part of constructive decision making in Nigeria policy.
